Today is surgery day. We drove out to Rochester on Tuesday, which was a great decision as Tiah’s family had to fight the weather driving here on Wednesday. We also wanted to be able to relax a bit before a couple pre-surgery appointments. They told us to call in between 8:15 and midnight to find when to be at the hospital.
5:45 am
It’s a bit of a cruel joke. Sure I’ll be put under and essentially be sleeping half the day, but I still didn’t want to be awake right now (4am). I didn’t sleep well though, so I suppose it’s a moot point. We’ve become familiar with the Mayo Clinic Campus, but the surgery will be at the St Marys hospital, so we’re making sure to be up in plenty of time to figure out where we’re parking and get where we need to be. Hopefully the weather in ND yesterday hasn’t made it over here during the night.
Prayer
So that leaves us with how you can pray in the coming days.
- That the surgery goes smoothly and without complications.
- That the following days of recovery are amazing and I spend as little time here as possible.
- That Tiah will leave the hospital on occasion. Anyone might feel guilty for doing something else when a loved one has been admitted for surgery, but it’s not healthy to spend all of your time there with them.
Many prayers for both of you and your medical team!
Our prayers are with you. Your in good hands at St. Mary’s Hospital. I’ve had 3 surgeries there!
Praying for both of you.
Love you guys.
Praying you both up in prayer right now. May you have a top notch medical team and may they sense the presence of God on their team as they treat you. Dan and Debbie Long
